JAIPUR  : The state of Rajasthan is set to usher in the New Year with a groundbreaking initiative announced by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. Commencing from January 1, 2024, gas cylinders will be available at an incredibly subsidized rate of ₹450. This move aligns with the promises made during the elections, notably the commitment to provide subsidized gas under the Ujjwala Yojana, especially benefiting women.

Fulfilling Electoral Promises

The assurance of offering gas cylinders at an affordable rate was a pivotal aspect of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral manifesto. CM Bhajanlal Sharma reiterated this commitment while addressing the audience during the ‘Vikasit Sankalp Bharat Yatra’, emphasizing the implementation of policies in sync with Prime Minister Modi’s vision.

Evaluating Developmental Initiatives

Expressing his satisfaction with the progress, CM Bhajanlal Sharma underscored the importance of evaluating the execution of initiatives like the ‘Antyodaya Yojana’ inspired by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring that no citizen, especially those in rural areas, is deprived of essential amenities.

Inclusivity and Direct Benefits

The Chief Minister further highlighted the extensive array of 39 schemes initiated by Prime Minister Modi for the welfare of the underprivileged. Emphasizing direct benefits, he assured that the subsidized amounts for women would directly reflect in their accounts, ensuring accessibility and transparency.

Accountability and Warning

Addressing the issue of malpractice and leaks in official announcements, CM Bhajanlal Sharma sternly warned those involved in deceitful activities. He assured that the government will uphold accountability, promising an investigation into any discrepancies or scams, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s zero-tolerance stance against corruption.

Clearing Confusion and Upholding Promises

Following recent queries in Parliament regarding the promise of ₹450 gas cylinders during elections, the Central Government clarified that no such commitment was made during the electoral campaign. However, CM Bhajanlal Sharma’s recent announcement has dispelled any confusion, assuring eligible individuals of the availability of subsidized gas cylinders starting January 1.

This significant announcement by CM Bhajanlal Sharma not only fulfills a crucial electoral promise but also underscores the government’s dedication to providing essential resources at affordable rates. The move is poised to positively impact households, particularly benefiting women, aligning with the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and development.
