New Digital Learning Platform SAKSHAM Launched for Healthcare Professionals

The Union Health Ministry has launched a new initiative called SAKSHAM (Stimulating Advanced Knowledge for Sustainable Health Management) Learning Management Information System (LMIS). The system was unveiled by the Union Health Secretary, Shri Rajesh Bhushan, and has been developed by the National Institute of Health & Family Welfare (NIHFW) in New Delhi.

SAKSHAM is an all-in-one online platform designed to provide training and medical education to health professionals across the country. The platform aims to promote inclusive capacity building of healthcare professionals ranging from primary healthcare centers in remote rural areas to tertiary care and corporate hospitals in metropolitan cities.

The SAKSHAM LMIS platform currently offers over 200 public health and 100 clinical courses through online mode. Health professionals can register themselves on the portal via the URL: https://lmis.nihfw.ac.in/ and undergo the necessary training to qualify for certification.

The launch event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Special Secretary (Health) Shri. S. Gopalakrishnan, Joint Secretary (Health) Dr. Manashvi Kumar, Director NIHFW Dr. Dheeraj Shah, Deputy Director NIHFW Ms. Nidhi Kesarwani, Dean NIHFW Dr. V K Tiwari, and several other senior officials from the Health Ministry and NIHFW.
