To commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India and to pay tribute to the invaluable contribution of founders of the constitution, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) celebrated 72nd Constitution Day in its Headquarter as well as at Circle Offices and Field Offices today morning.

To mark the occasion, NDMC Chairperson, Shri Dharmendra read the preamble of Constitution of India alongwith all Head of the Departments as well as Senior Officers in a programme organized at Council Room – Palika Kendra (NDMC HQ), New Delhi today.

NDMC Chairman also paid his rich tributes in the memory of the founding members of the constitution on the Constitution Day and it has a unique historical significance as it was a day when the constitution was adopted and it came into effect on 26th January, 1950.

 The Chairman ,NDMC – Shri Dharmendra  remembered the contribution of the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. BR Ambedkar and paid him rich Tributes. He also lauded the contribution of his team members on this occasion .

Similar programmes were organized at NDMC Circles and Field offices where preamble of constitution was read out to create awareness among the officers and staff on the Constitution of India and Fundamental Duties of the Citizens.
