Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) Chairman‑Cum‑Managing Director Shri V.K. Singh has bagged the prestigious Geoscience Award for the year 2009. The award has been conferred on Shri Singh by Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Hamid Ansari on February 4, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in recognition of his meritorious contribution in the file of Mining Technology. The presentation ceremony was presided over by Sh.Dinsha J Patel, Hon’ble Minister of State, Mines (Independent charge). This award has been instituted by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India.
