Namo Narain Meena Flags off Sealdah Rajdhani Train Carrying Investor Awareness Messages on its Coaches

INVC,, Delhi,, Namo Narain Meena, Minister of State for Finance flagged off the New Delhi-Sealdah Rajdhani Express train, as part of NSE’s campaign ‘Financial Literacy on Wheels’, at the New Delhi Station today. The National Stock Exchange (NSE), as a part of its ongoing endeavour to reach out to people in different parts of the country, has started an investor awareness initiative on the Delhi Sealdah Rajdhani. Speaking on the occasion Shri Meena said that financial inclusion has far-reaching implications for the socio-economic and educational upliftment of the excluded and would help to remove the roadblock in achieving the objective of social justice and inclusive growth which is a declared goal of the government. The awareness drive will educate people about the functioning of the market, operational intricacies and the risks involved in investing. People will get the message for accessing the right instruments to save for their retirement and would understand their rights and responsibilities, stated the Minister. The Sealdah Rajdhani, which runs through key States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand, ends its journey at the Sealdah station, one of the busiest stations in India, which also has a suburban rail terminal. The 14 coaches of the train will carry Nifty images on the train, with panels inside on the precautions an investor should take before, during and after trading. Audio messages will also play inside the coaches, throughout the 17 hour journey from Delhi to Sealdah and on the return journey. The motto of the Rajdhani initiative is soch kar, samajh kar, invest kar and the panels will carry messages like “trade only through entities registered with SEBI, don’t be careless about giving a power of attorney to intermediaries and fill you KYC details carefully” etc. The Sealdah Rajdhani campaign continues to build on a seamless link that was first started in April, when an awareness drive was begun on the Rajdhani trains from Delhi to the Southern cities of Chennai, Trivandrum and Bangalore.
