Union Defence Minister Mr. Manohar Parikkar today said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s Government has done immense work for the welfare of deprived sections of the society. Mr. Modi’s One-year work is equal to the work done in ten years of the previous Government. In the next four years, ten-fold work will be completed. The ‘Swachch Bharat’ (Clean India) campaign looks a small step at first instance but the results will be great in future. Referring to the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padao’ mission, he said that the education of girl child will help the family and the society.

Mr. Parikkar was inaugurating a ‘Jan Kalyan Mela’ and State Government ‘Exhibition on Development’ at Raipur Indoor Stadium.  The State Government exhibition coincided with the completion of 365 days of Mr. Narendra Modi’s rule. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh said a new dawn had set in India with the arrival of Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi. The new Government has brought prosperity in the lives of common citizens. Mr. Parikkar distributed cheques and various items to the beneficiaries of various social welfare schemes in Chhattisgarh. He felicitated the bank officers who have done yeomen service in Prime Minister’s Jan-Dhan Yojana and Beema Yojana schemes.

Mr. Parikkar appreciated the various development programmes undertaken by Dr. Raman Singh State Government during the past 12 years. The glimpses of rapid development and a social welfare state can be seen at the Exhibition today. The signs of prosperity can be observed in all sections of the society. While appreciating the Skills’ Development courses launched in Chhattisgarh, the Defence Minister said that the services of the trained students can be utilized in the production of Defence parts in due course of period. The entire world had recognized that Mr. Modi has a vision to take India forward. India is recognized as a great nation in the making.   Mr. Parikkar has called upon the gathering to take the message of Prime Minister’s Jan-Dhan Yojana,  Prime Minister’s Beema  Suraksha Yojana and Prime Minister’s Jeewan Jyoti Beema Yojana, to far corners of the Chhattisgarh.

Dr. Raman Singh while presiding over the function said that today entire nation is reaping the benefits of prosperity. It is a historic day as radical change took place this day last year after a gap of 30 years. The main role was played by Mr. Narendra Modi and now the entire globe accepts the importance of India. New Sun arose on the Horizon of India. Chief Minister Dr Singh said that in this era of change, people of Chhattisgarh have gained prosperity in life. Central Government’s schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana have significantly contributed to the progress of Chhattisgarh. Dr Singh said that Atal Pension Scheme is proving to be boon for laborious workers, as this scheme allows them to deposit small amounts of money, so that they may garner the benefits of pension after 60 years of age.

Chief Minister said that Prime Minister’s Clean India Campaign aims at making the entire country clean and tidy by October 2, 2019, but with the enthusiasm and support of people in Chhattisgarh for this campaign, it seems that we would achieve the target of toilet construction in each house of state by year 2018. The interesting part about this campaign in Chhattisgarh is that women of state have taken up the task to ensure construction of toilets. He told that State Government has initiated ‘Make in Chhattisgarh’ programme on the lines of Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ programme, with an aim to make best use of natural and human resources of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister considered Prime Minister’s tour to Chhattisgarh in the second week of this month as a crucial step towards development of the state, as development schemes worth around Rs 24 thousand crores were bestowed on the state in just one day. Chief Minister assured Union Defense Minister saying that State Government will extend every possible support for future projects of Defense sector in Chhattisgarh. Dr Singh said that Skill Development Scheme will largely benefit the youngsters of Chhattisgarh. He added that Livelihood Colleges have been opened in all 27 districts of state, where eighth-passed youth are provided free employment-oriented training. Trainees are awarded certificates after completion of the training, which helps them in getting employed. Chief Minister said that these colleges also offer training course in stitching, for women.

In his welcome speech, Member of Lok Sabha Mr. Ramesh Bais mentioned about achievements of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi led Central Government in past one year. He said that Prime Minister has taken pledge to create favourable environment in the country for works of social reforms. For instance, Clean India Campaign and construction of toilets in schools-colleges seems to be trivial needs at first sight, but a keener look shows that such initiatives directly impact the lives of common people. In the programme, vote of thanks was proposed by Chhattisgarh Government’s Agriculture Minister Mr. Brijmohan Agrawal, who said that India will regain its identity of ‘Vishwa Guru’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Modi.

In the programme, goods and cheques of financial aids were distributed to beneficiaries under various schemes of Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Sarpanch of Navagaon Gram Panchayat in Abhanpur block Mr. Bhagwat Sahu and Sarpanch of a Gram Panchayat in Tilda block Mr. Virendra Sahu were awarded for their significant work in the field of toilet construction. Similarly, representatives of various banks were also honoured for their significant contribution in implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana, Beema Suraksha Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana. On the occasion, Lok Sabha Member Mr. Chandulal Sahu, Rajya Sabha Member Mr. Bhushan Lal Jangade, Food and Civil Supply Minister Mr. Punnulal Mohile, PWD Minister Mr. Rajesh Moonat, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Ramsheela Sahu, Parliamentary Secretary Duo Mr. Labhchand Bafna, Mr. Ambesh Jangade, MLA Duo Mr. Shrichand Sundrani and Mr. Naveen Markandey and State Government’s Chief Secretary Mr. Vivek Dhand were also present.
