The Congress hit out at the Center for calling former MP Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Manipur a drama, saying the Modi government’s mindset is not democratic but dictatorial.

When Congress President Kharge was asked about Rahul Gandhi visiting relief camps in Manipur and BJP telling this drama, he said, he has a habit of speaking with jealousy. If any Congress leader goes there (Manipur), then try to understand the difficulties of the people, they call this poignant moment as drama.

Kharge said that they call the opposition meeting in Patna a photo session. They are not democratic but have dictatorial mindset because they cannot tolerate that there should be democracy and opposition in the country. Every time their spokespersons say that it is all drama.

Kharge said, speaking such things does not suit him and I condemn such statements of BJP. Raising questions on the government, Kharge said that when their leaders and ministers can go door-to-door to meet the people, then why not the opposition leaders.

They created an atmosphere that they were refusing to allow Rahul Gandhi to go by road as he could know the reality and condition of the villages on the way. Security should be provided by the government to see the situation there. He attacked the BJP and said that he knew about Rahul Gandhi’s program four days ago, he did not go there secretly. He said, he has a habit of blaming the Congress and I condemn it. He said that they always spread such misinformation about Rahul Gandhi and he should understand that he is a senior leader and such thinking is not good. ( PLC /GT )
