Akhil Raj Banga was born in Karnal and brought up in Chandigarh.His schooling was in Army Public School, Daghshai,H.P. The small town experience helped him get a stronger connect with himself and his surroundings. His Passion and honesty in everything he did is paramount. He loved listening to *gazals* in which Pankaj Udhas and Jagjit Singh were his favorites. In his *riyaaz*, he aspired for same depth in his singing style. After practicing his skills for many years, Akhil began to play in personal social groups. Being a very family oriented guy, Akhil is very consistent and has an eye for detail in everything he does. Akhil’s mantra in life is to live musically.
A lover of comedies, Akhil never misses a chance to see the Hollywood and Bollywood comedy flicks. Shuttling between Delhi, Mumbai & Chandigarh and keeping his pace with the changing times, he moved into contemporary music genre. Impact of Chandigarh was so strong on him that his new professional launch – ‘Angrezi Desi’ is a compilation of fun filled, heart touching melodies that have been inspired by the Punjabi culture. This album was recently launched by T-Series and has already hit the stores and airwaves. His next aim is to perform and win the coveted ‘MTV Music Awards’.
