Maruti Suzuki Launches Alto Tour H1: Affordable Hatchback Turned Commercial Vehicle

Mumbai – : Maruti Suzuki launched the Alto Tour H1 in India. This hatchback car is based on the Alto K10 and is positioned as a light commercial vehicle. The starting price for the Alto Tour H1 is Rs 4.80 lakh, while the top variant is priced at Rs 5.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Alto Tour H1 is available in both petrol and S-CNG variants. The petrol variant is claimed to deliver a mileage of 22.05 km/l, while the CNG variant offers a mileage of 34.46 km/l.

Under the hood, the Alto Tour H1 is equipped with Maruti Suzuki’s 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and the Dual VVT petrol engine. The CNG variant comes with a factory-fitted CNG engine. Both engines are paired with 5-speed gearboxes. The petrol engine produces 66 bhp of power and 89 Nm of peak torque, while the CNG engine generates 56 bhp of power and 82 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of safety features, the Alto Tour H1 includes dual airbags, front seat belts with pre-tensioner and force limiter, seatbelt reminder, engine immobilizer, ABS with EBD, speed limiter, and reverse parking sensors.

The Alto Tour H1 is available in three color options: Metallic Silky Silver, Metallic Granite Gray, and Arctic White.

Apart from the Alto Tour H1, Maruti Suzuki has also launched the five-door version of the highly anticipated Jimny SUV in India. The Jimny SUV, showcased at the Auto Expo event in January, comes in two variants: Zeta and Alpha. It competes with vehicles like the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha.

Even before the official price announcement, the Maruti Jimny had received more than 30,000 bookings, indicating its popularity. The Jimny SUV is priced starting from Rs. 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs. 15.05 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Alpha dual-tone variant with automatic transmission.
