Durg : During the raid in the VIP cafe (Hukkabar) of Supela police station area of Durg, the police has reached the big bookies associated with Mahadev online betting app. The police have already arrested both the cafe operator brothers. Now the police have arrested two more accused. One of the accused is an employee of Canara Bank Vaishali Nagar and the other is his associate. The mastermind of this case, accused Rikki Parakh and his brother are still out of reach of the police. Accused Ricky Parakh Mahadev is said to be close to online betting operator Saurabh Chandrakar.
Durg SP Jitendra Shukla had formed a special team and given instructions for investigation. During investigation, information was received that Canara Bank employee Santosh Kumar Kosare and his associate Kunal alias Kunal Soni are involved in this work. The police surrounded and arrested both the accused near Ganda Chowk of Supela and produced them before the court.
Recently, after getting information about illegal hookah bar operation, Supela police had raided it late in the night and took action. During this time, the hookah bar operator brothers were arrested. During the search in the hookah bar, the police found clues related to online betting. Priyanshu Nile, a resident of Supela Kosa Nagar Bhilai, had lodged a complaint at the Supela police station that two people named Gurusharan and Kunal Soni had misled him and opened a bank account in his name. They have purchased a fake SIM in his name. Now they are doing transactions worth lakhs in his account.
