These extraordinary footwear pieces, intended for the upcoming consecration ceremony of Lord Rama’s newly constructed temple in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, have been meticulously created by Shri Challa Srinivas Shastri of Hyderabad.

The Grand Arrival

The journey of these sacred sandals commenced on December 17, 2023, when they were brought from the Rameswaram shrine to Ahmedabad. Their first stop was the S.G. Highway, where they found a temporary abode at the Tirupati Balaji Temple for devotees to witness and seek blessings.

The Spiritual Pilgrimage

As the sandals set foot in Ahmedabad, they were reverently placed on the head of Mr. Subbarayudu, a trustee of the Balaji Temple, before being ushered inside. The temple priests orchestrated a special ceremony to honor these divine artifacts, and soon after, numerous devotees had the privilege of witnessing and even donning the sandals on their heads.

Crafted from a combination of precious metals and gemstones, the sandals embody exquisite craftsmanship. The artisan, Shri Challa Srinivas Shastri, invested his skills to create these divine artifacts, incorporating valuable gems to enhance their splendor.

A Spiritual Odyssey

This spiritual journey paved the way for the sandals to traverse iconic pilgrimage sites, including Somnath, Dwarka, and Badrinath, before reaching their final destination in Ayodhya.

Continuing The Sacred Sojourn

From Ahmedabad, the sandals are slated to travel to Somnath and Dwarka, and subsequently, they will grace the revered Badrinath Temple. The last leg of their journey will bring them back to Ayodhya, where they will be enshrined in the sanctum of the Ram Temple.
