Parliament winter Session News: The winter session of Parliament was adjourned sine die today on 21st December. However, this session was scheduled to continue till December 22. During the session, 12 government bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha and 18 bills were passed.

Opposition cornered for copying Jagdeep Dhankhar

However, the winter session of Parliament remained much discussed. There was a lapse in the security of Parliament during this session i.e. on 13 December. Regarding this, the opposition parties demanded a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the House and due to this there was an uproar in the House. At the same time, the government cornered the opposition for copying Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.

The productivity of the House during the session was 74 percent

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla informed the members about the work done in the House during the session in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari and other ministers and MPs. During this period 14 meetings were held which lasted for approximately 61 hours 50 minutes. The productivity of the House during the session was 74 percent.

During the session, 12 government bills were introduced and Indian Justice (Second) Code – 2023, Indian Civil Defense (Second) Code – 2023, Indian Evidence (Second) Bill – 2023, Central Goods and Services Tax (Second Amendment) Bill – 2023. And 18 bills including Telecom Bill – 2023 were passed.
