Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Seven Phases of Voting, Results on June 4

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections, along with the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct across the country. It is anticipated that the voting for the 543 parliamentary seats will be conducted in seven or eight phases. Additionally, the Election Commission is expected to announce the schedule for assembly elections in certain states.

Phase-wise Election Schedule:

Phase 1 – April 19

  • States: 21
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 102

Phase 2 – April 26

  • States: 13
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 89

Phase 3 – May 7

  • States: 12
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 94

Phase 4 – May 13

  • States: 10
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 96

Phase 5 – May 20

  • States: 8
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 49

Phase 6 – May 25

  • States: 7
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 57

Phase 7 – June 1

  • States: 8
  • Lok Sabha Seats: 57

In Bhopal, voting will take place on May 7. During these phases, elections will be conducted for 29 parliamentary seats in Madhya Pradesh.

Constituency-wise Details:

Phase 1: April 19

  • Constituencies: Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Chhindwara

Phase 2: April 26

  • Constituencies: Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Betul

Phase 3: May 7

  • Constituencies: Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, Rajgarh

Phase 4: May 13

  • Constituencies: Dewas, Ujjain, Indore, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Khargone, Khandwa
