Liz Truss almost certain to become British PM
The time for the decision of the British Prime Minister has drawn near. Members of the Conservative Party are voting in the final phase today. Although the results will be formally announced on Monday, Foreign Minister Liz Truss is coming down heavily on Indian-origin Rishi Sunak. It is believed that Liz Truss will be the new PM of Britain.
Incumbent Prime Minister Boris Johnson will submit his resignation to Queen Elizabeth II after the ruling Conservative Party is elected as the new PM. Boris Johnson announced to step down as PM in July following the resignations of several ministers against his government’s policies and scandal.
