Leaders from Modi government to opposition are joining this celebration in their own way.

The entire country is celebrating the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence. This ‘Tiranga Bike Rally’ has been organized with the aim of increasing the feeling of patriotism among the citizens of the country. Leaders from the Modi government to the opposition are joining this celebration in their own way. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal called upon people to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence by unfurling the tricolor and singing the national anthem at 5 pm on August 14.

But after this announcement of Kejriwal, there has been a controversy. BJP has targeted for this. BJP leader Kapil Mishra has hit back on Kejriwal’s appeal and said that on August 14, there is freedom across the border (in Pakistan).

Kapil Mishra tweeted saying that listen Arvind Kejriwal ji, on 14th August, the day of independence is not on this side of the border but across the border. Independence Day will be celebrated in Delhi only on 15th August, if you want to celebrate Pakistan then go there and celebrate it. The BJP leader, through his video on Twitter, said that Kejriwal’s decision to celebrate Independence Day on August 14 is to ignore the horrors of partition of the country. This is a deliberate attempt to insult the 15th August and the Amrit Festival of Independence. Mishra said that if he has made a mistake then he should take back this decision. Pakistan’s Independence Day is on 14 August. This is a day of sorrow and pain for us. Crores of Hindus were killed on that day. You want to celebrate the same day.

Arvind Kejriwal called upon the people to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence by hoisting the tricolor and singing the national anthem at 5 pm on August 14. Kejriwal said that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Delhi has decided to distribute 25 lakh flags across the city. He said that flags would also be given to the students of government schools so that they could take them home. PLC/GT
