Land will be taken from government for Guru Granth Sahib Centre : Sirsa

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, president Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that on the line of Islamic Centre in Delhi Guru Granth Sahib Centre will  be constructed.

He said that these decisions have been taken in core committee meeting of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal).

Sirsa said that among other decisions, the core committee also decided for organising separate functions and programmes on the occasion of 550th Parkash Parav of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The meeting also decided to construct Guru Granth Sahib Centre in the line of Islamic centre. Teaching of Guru Granth Sahib will be disseminated from the centre. Land will be taken from the government for the centre.

The DSGMC president said that the year 2019 is being celebrated as centenary function of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Ideas and teachings of Guru Granth Sahib and lessons for humanity will be spread door to door. In this connection, DSGMC has launched a few programmes. One of them “So Kuyn Manda Aakhiye ”a special programme was launched with the cooperation of DSGMC member Bibi Ranjit Kaur.

Sirsa said a memorial will be constructed soon to spread the message of “Ik Onkaar”. The Sikh leader said that lessons of Guru Nanak Devji – elimination of high-low cast system, equality in human being, respect for woman – that are desperately needed by today’s society. This message will be widen through Guru Bani.

On this occasion, general secretary of the DSGMC, Harmit Singh Kalka said that need of the hour is to acknowledge our new generation about the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Delhi’s senior most Akali Dal leader Avtar Singh Hit also addressed the meeting.  Besides, Kulwant Singh Baath, Harmanjit Singh, Bhupinder Singh Anand, Paramjit Singh Rana, Ravinder Singh Khurana and Jatinder Singh Shanty also attended the meeting.
