Krishna Tirath to Address Eminent Speakers’ Forum At Asian Development Bank, Manila
INVC, Delhi, Krishna Tirath, Minister for Women and Child Development will be leading a ministerial delegation to the Asian Development Bank, Manila. Tirath will be one of the eminent speakers at the Asian Development Bank Eminent Speakers’ Forum on 27th September 2013 where the Minister will exchange her views on Bridging Gender Gaps in India. Her address will also highlight gender disparities and gaps and will also promote women’s empowerment in India. The Ministry officials will also make a presentation on Safe Cities for Women: Reclaiming Public Spaces. During her visit, Smt. Tirath will call on Mr. Bindu N. Lohani, Vice President, Knowledge Management and Sustainable Development. She will also meet Mr. Juan Miranda, Director General, South Asia Department. The Asian Development Bank Eminent Speakers’ Forum will be attended by ADB senior management and staff, as well as representatives from the Philippine Government, the development partner community, academia and civil society. In the Eminent Speakers’ Forum, distinguished leaders will share their development experiences and wisdom.
