Mumbai : The Korean company Samsung has become the world’s number one mobile company by defeating the giant tech company Apple. Apple’s smartphone shipments have declined by 10 percent in the first quarter of 2024. Information was given in a report. According to the report, between January and March, global mobile shipments have increased by 7.8 percent to 289 million.
At the same time, the market share of Korean company Samsung has been 20.8 percent, which is more than Apple. Apple’s iPhone sales have seen a decline after a strong performance in the December quarter. Apple had become the world’s number one mobile company by defeating Samsung in the October-December quarter, but in the last quarter, the company has again come to second place with a market share of 17.3 percent. Chinese mobile brand Xiaomi remains at the third position with a share of 14.1 percent in the first quarter of 2024.
At the same time, an increase in the market share of other Chinese brands like Huawei has been recorded. Samsung launched its latest flagship smartphone lineup, Galaxy S24 series, at the beginning of the year. More than 60 million phones have been shipped during this period.
Meanwhile, Apple shipped 50.1 million iPhones, down from 55.4 million units in the same period last year. It is noteworthy that the decline in the shipment of Apple’s mobiles has come after the decision of the Chinese government, when the use of Apple mobiles in Chinese companies and government agencies has been limited.
