Khattar Follow Modi - Launch Own Abhiyan

khattar and modiINVC, Chandigarh, The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has urged the people, social organizations, voluntary organizations, religious institutions and industrial hubs to take play an active role in the ‘Swachh Haryana-Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ to make it a success. Speaking after launching the ‘Abhiyan’ on the 49th foundation day of Haryana state at Krishna Colony in Sector 20 of Faridabad today, Mr Manohar Lal urged MPs to spend more on the construction of toilets under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme. He also urged corporate hubs to adopt different regions for cleanliness as part of their corporate social responsibility. The Chief Minister directed municipal corporations, municipal councils, municipalities, city councils and concerned bodies in the rural areas to pick up garbage everyday to prevent it from causing diseases. A target has been set to construct toilet in every house of rural Haryana by 2019 under the Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan. The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, launched the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2, 2014. And the the ‘Swachh Haryana-Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ has been launched throughout the state from Faridabad city today to realize the dream of Mahatma Gandhi. Since the Father of the Nation had connection with Faridabad, the ‘Abhiyan’ has been launched from the industrial town. Mahatma Gandhi was first arrested onApril 10, 1919 from Palwal railway station when he was going to Punjab. Palwal was then part of Faridabad district. “We have launched the Abhiyan from Faridabad to pay our tribute to Mahatma Gandhi,” the Chief Minister said. Mahatma Gandhi gave us the slogan of ‘Quit India-Clean India’. The people of India got independence by joining the freedom movement under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. But his dream of Clean India is yet to be realised. It is with a view to realising this dream of Mahatma Gandhi that Mr Narendra Modi has launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. “We have to make cleanliness a part of our nature in order to make the ‘Abhiyan’ a total success. The people should make their valuable contribution to the campaign. We will have to create a society where there is no place for crime, drugs and addiction,” Mr Manohar Lal  added. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched a web portal of Swachh Haryana-Swachh Bharat Abhiyan www.swachhharyana.org. Through this web portal, people could check the progress of the ‘Abhiyan’ in all the 21 districts of the state. They can also send their suggestions to make the ‘Abhiyan’ even better. The Chief Minister administered the pledge to those present to make the ‘Abhiyan’ a success. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Mr Krishan Pal Gujjar, said that Mr Modi had made the commitment to give Rs 20 lakh under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan to every village for executing cleanliness works. Faridabad used to be number one industrial city in Asia, but now it is no more number one industrial city of Asia, not even of Haryana. Today Gurgaon and Noida are leading in terms of industrial development and Faridabad is lagging behind. He expressed the hope that the Central  and state governments would work to restore the lost glory of Faridabad.
