The Kejriwal government of Delhi will not extend the 20 per cent discount being given on the circle rate of properties any more. Due to this, more money will have to be spent from the purchase of the property to the registration.

The government had announced a relaxation from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021, to give a boost to the economy due to the Corona epidemic. This exemption was given in all the property categories i.e. residential, commercial and industrial. It was then extended till 31 December 2021. The government had extended it for the second time till June 30, 2022, from January 2022 to continue the relief to the people. The government believes that the decision to continue with the circle rate will help end the long-standing economic slowdown in the property market.

According to official sources, the economy is getting back on track after Corona. The prices of properties have increased in the surrounding areas including Delhi, due to which it will not be possible for the government to give exemption after June 30. The circle rate has been fixed by dividing the properties in Delhi into eight categories. PLC/GT
