You must be joking! Sufi album and that too of singer Kailash Kher’s. Yes, Kher’s first Sufi album is releasing this year. He will be teaming up with Madhya Pradesh’s most admired Padmashree award winner Shri. Prahlad Tipanya. They will be singing ‘Kabir Vani’. But this album is one of its kind as the song is sung in Sufi style. On asking about this album, Kailash Kher says, “Yes, it’s true that this will be my first Sufi album. The album has Kabir Vani but in Sufi style. I and my band ‘Kailasa’ are very excited about the project. Malwa (Madhya Pradesh) always attracts me. The music and food of Malwa is very pleasant. The people there are very kind. Malwa’s culture has some charm, which pulls me towards it. The divine beauty of Malwa has some kind of déjà vu which attracts me.”
