Chief Minister Virbhadra laying foundation stone of ITI  Kharahan  in district Shimla on 4 November 2015. Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing public meeting at Kharahan in Nankhari block of Rampur assembly segment today said that the State government was providing vocational courses to the students of the State so that they could adopt occupational trades to get opportunities of employment and self employment. He said that more Industrial Training Institutes were being opened in the State to polish skills of the youth in various trades.

He said Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) was functioning in Mandi and Indian Institute of Management had been sanctioned to be opened in Dhaulakuan in Sirmour district which would open more  avenues of development and employment opportunities to the youth. Besides, Engineering college would be opened at Kotla in Jeuri in Rampur constituency, the foundation stone of which would be laid soon.

The Chief Minister said presently there were more than 34000 kilometers of roads in the State and even the remotest areas like Dodra Kawar and 15-20 of district Shimla had been connected with road facility.

He said that the government was endeavouring to take Himachal Pradesh to new heights in education sector. As many as 94 colleges and 16500 schools were catering to the educational needs of the students of the state.

He said that lots of efforts were being done to displace him as Chief Minister but he would fought the battle and come out clean like before.  He said that there should be clean politics and no vengeance amongst political parties, though there could ideological differences.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Shri Nand Lal thanked the Chief Minister for dedicating projects worth crores in the area today. He credited the development of the area to the successive Congress governments, especially to Shri Virbhadra Singh. He also listed development of the area during the regime of the present government.

Pradhan GP, Kharahan, Shri Jagat Bhandari placed forth demands of the area before the Chief Minister.

DCC, President Shimla Rural, Shri Kehar Singh Khachi, Block Congress President, Rampur, Shri Satish Verma, Vice-Chairman, HPSIDC, Shri Atul Sharma, Chairman, Kailash Federation Shri  Brij Lal, Deputy Commissioner Shri Dinesh Malhotra, Superintendent of Police, Shri DW Negi and senior officers of the district were also present on the occasion amongst panchayat representatives of the area.
