JBM Auto has won an order worth Rs 7,500 crore for development of electric and infrastructure associated with 1,390 electric buses under the PM-eBus service scheme. The company told the stock market that this order will have to be completed in 12 to 18 months.
The company’s subsidiary JBM Ecolife Mobility Pvt Ltd has been declared L1 and will procure, supply, operate and maintain 1,390 electric buses and develop associated electric and infrastructure. The government had announced the PM-eBus service scheme in August last year.
Under this, 10,000 electric buses will be supplied in 169 cities under Public Private Partnership (PPP). Under this, priority will be given to those cities where there is no organized bus service.
