:The first ever two day Baisakhi festival organized by the Department of Tourism, Chandigarh Administration in association of Cinevalley Entertainment and PANACHE genesis got off to majestic start at Sector 17 Plaza here today. The leading Punjabi pop singer Jasbir Jassi showcased his versatility in his live performance reverberating the sky , much to the delight of music loving crowds. Titled as”Jatta Aayi Baisakhi for first day and “Baisakhi Da Jashan” for the second day, the Baisakhi festival were witnessed by people from different walks of life. As the evening progressed, the enjoyment and fun among the crowd escalated with latest hits of Jassi, the crowd could be seen swaying with the performance. He gripped the listeners with his hits like ….
He unfolded the evening with a Gurbani “Awal Allah Noor upayaya” followed by songs Aayo ni sayion,koka,Dil le gayi kuri Gujrat di,.Kuri Kuri,Ek Gehra. To add glamour to the show, among the special guests was a model and actress Jonita Doda(Lead Actor Chak Jawana, The Punjabi film co-starring Gurdas Mann due for release soon).The evening also had a special performanance by westenn and punjabi groups.
Earlier the musical evening was inaugurated by Ram Niwas, Home Secretary cum Secretary Tourism Chandigarh Administration also graced byDirector Tourism and other senior officers of the Chandigarh Administration.

Jasbir Jassi is a well known Punjabi singer when it comes to name some of the respected popular ones in Punjabi music industry who have given their lives to make music His first pop album, Dil Le Gayee was released in 1998. His musical career started about 15 years ago by recording for Punjabi films like Passport and Zakhmi. He also sang for remix albums like ‘Balle Balbiro Balle’.Few of his Discography are Mahiya, Dil Le Gayee 1998, Kudi Kudi 1999, Nishani Pyar Di 2001, Just Jassi, 2003, Mukhda Chann Varga, 2004,Pyar Mere Nu, 2005,Ankh Mastani, 2007
