“ It’s not only a film festival but a cultural exchange between two countries, the Japanese films today are representing my country in this campus of Media Professionals ” said Teriyuki Hoshina Director, Japan Foundation in India while inaugurating the two days Japanese Film Festival at Marwah Studios organized by Asian School of Media Studies.
The two days Japanese films Festival will show four films: High and Low- Akira Kurosawa, End of Summer – Yasujiri Ozu, Godzilla- Inshiro Honda and Kill- Kinchi Onomoto. The films represent the culture, tradition and heritage of Japanese cinema presenting the best in domain of film culture. The screening is also accompanied by workshops by Cinedarbaar to bring a greater degree of understanding and knowhow of Japanese cinema.
Addressing to the large gathering of film, television and media students Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of International Film and Television Club, thanked the director of the Japan Foundation for the contribution towards this remarkable culture exchanged and presented him with the life membership of International Film & Television Club of AAFT.
