It is common man's Government : Prem Kumar Dhumal

INVC,, Shimla,, State Government would be making adequate budgetary provisions for repair and maintenance of government residential accommodation and residential accommodation at Sub-Division level would be constructed in a phased manner to facilitate employees. This was stated by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister while addressing the 'Samman Samaroh' organized by NGOs of District Chamba in his honour on his two-day visit to the district at Tribal Bhawan in Chamba last evening. Chief Minister said that all the sections of the society had been benefited with the people oriented policies and programmes of the State Government. He said that it  is common man's Government in the State which was catering to the needs of all sections of the society including the vulnerable sections. He said that government had formulated policies for the welfare of every section. He said that the State had launched ambitious Rs. 353 crore Pandit Deen Dayal Kisan-Bagwan Samridhi Yojna, Rs. 300 crore Doodh Ganga Yojna, Rs. 100 crore Bhed Palak Yojna which had high component of subsidy and potential to generate employment and self-employment avenues to the rural youth at their door steps. Prof. Dhumal said that employees were the backbone of the Government and added they were instrumental in percolating the benefits of developmental policies upto grassroot level. He said that the State had maintained complete transparency in its functioning and every information was available to the people. He said that state government has fulfilled over 90 percent promises made to the people so far. He lauded the role of employees in implementation of policies and programmes for the benefit of weaker sections of the society. Chief Minister appealed to the employees to lend their support in educating and popularising the State Government policies and programmes through all means available at their command. He said that 28,000 posts had been sanctioned during current financial year out of which 20,000 posts had been filled up. He said that budgetary provision under special Scheduled Caste Component Plan had been enhanced from 11 percent to 25 percent in proportion to the population of the section. He said that the State Government had cleared all DA instalments due to the employees. Prof. Dhumal said that he had made it a point to address the employees before assuming the office of Chief Minister. He said that the State Government had always been considerate towards the genuine demands of State employees and granted them various financial incentives liberally without waiting for them to demand.
