The costlier iPhone Pro models are expected to get costlier this year, but with the hike may come some upgrades. The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro will feature new designs and display technologies, including Dynamic Island and LIPO technology for nearly bezel-less screens.
Apple is ready to make major changes in its iPhone 15 series this time. Apple may replace its proprietary Lightning port with a universal Type-C port for charging on the iPhone 15 series in all markets including India.
iPhone 15 Pro will have a big upgrade
According to the report, this time the most expensive model in the iPhone 15 series will be the iPhone 15 Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have titanium frames instead of stainless steel. This change will make them stronger and lighter and obviously the edges will be a bit softer this time around.
Furthermore, a new display technology called LiPO is expected to reduce the thin bezels by up to a third while maintaining the dynamic island.
iPhone 15 Pro price may increase
The iPhone 15 Pro model is expected to come with the new 3nm A17 Bionic chip. Both models are also expected to have upgraded lenses. According to the new report, a periscope lens can be given in the bigger model. With these major upgrades will come a price hike.
While prices outside the US are expected to increase, customers in the US are expected to pay a slightly higher price for the Pro model this year. If the report is to be believed, the Pro model could cost around $100 more than last year’s model, while the Pro Max could cost up to $200.
Possible price of iPhone 15 Series
So far, there have been no rumors of a price hike for the standard iPhone 15 model. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are expected to start at $799 and $899, respectively. According to reports, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are expected to feature the same 48MP sensor as their Pro models.
However, there is no information on whether the ultrawide sensor will be upgraded or not. It is also expected that the iPhone 15 series will be launched with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The iPhone 15 series is expected to be announced in September.
