AICTE sponsored  International Conference on Impact of IoT and Machine Learning in Mechanical Engineering (ICIIMLME’ 21) was organized by the Departments of Mechanical & Computer Science and Engineering, Arasu Engineering College, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur District, Tamil Nadu.

Chief Guest and keynote speaker of the conference was Dr. DP Sharma  who is International Consultant/Adviser (IT) UN-ILO & Prime Minister’s Ambassador for Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.

Dr. Sharma said “Industrial development needs to be balanced with natural justice and protection of employment rights. He emphasized that true essence of the conference is to ensure the three dimensional Convergence of IoT, machine learning and mechanical engineering in Industrial automation and robotization. He said that multilateral Disruptions of technologies are becoming serious issues across the world and human generation has to reinvent themselves to compete the machines in terms of honesty, scale, accuracy and speed otherwise political industrialisation and industrial politicisation will create multifold unemployment and replacement.

Industry has a big responsibility for social causes on their shoulders and they should work according to Dharma i.e. duty first and the responsibility and privileges later as they are backbone of the country’s industrial development mission”.

Appreciated the conference theme & expressed congratulations to participants.  He said, good work done by convergence of IoT, ML and Mechanical engineering must be appreciated but with precautionary measures.

Dr Sharma mentioned the views of Director general of international labour organization of United Nations and expressed the numerous opportunities alongwith challenges of automation.

The conference was also addressed by Chairman of the college Mr. Thirunavukkarasu and
Vice Chairman Mr. T. Senthilkumar.

Researchers were invited to presented their research papers. The conference assistant coordinator Mr Sundarselvam coordinated the event.
