The country’s foreign exchange reserves increased by $2.9 billion to reach $564.06 billion. This is the fifth consecutive week of increase in foreign exchange reserves. Due to this, the reserves had increased by $ 11 billion to reach $ 561.16 billion in the previous week.

According to the RBI data released on Friday, foreign currency assets (FCAs) increased by $ 3.141 billion to reach $ 500.125 billion in the reporting week.

However, the gold reserves declined by $296 million to $40.729 billion. Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) rose by $61 million to reach $18.106 billion. The country’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund also increased by $2 million to $5.11 billion.
