Haryana’s  buoyant  economy together withJapan’s technological expertise can produce beneficial results for both sides. This was stated by Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the occasion of launching of Japan Desk of the leading law firm Jurisperitus inNew Delhilast evening. The Desk   was launched  by Mr Akitaka Saiki, Ambassador of Japan toIndia.

Mr Justice Y.S. Sabharwal, Union Minister  of State  for Planning, Science and Technology, Dr. Ashwani Kumar, senior advisor of Japan Desk Madam Noriko Endo and other distinguished guests from legal fraternity and business world were present on the occasion.

Welcoming the initiative of Jurisperitus in  launching the Japan Desk, Mr Hooda  expressed confidence  that  the Desk would play  very useful role in providing much required professional  legal services to the Japanese investors and entrepreneurs.

Mr Hooda said that Haryana is home to a large number of Japanese companies inIndia. Out of total investment by the Japanese companies inIndia, about 70 per cent investment has been made in Haryana. The presence of Japanese companies in Haryana has been the result of mutual trust. Today, more Japanese companies are looking at Haryana as their place to be, he said.

While launching the Japan Desk, Ambassador Mr Akitaka Saiki congratulated Jurisperitus for launching Japan Desk and hoped it will provide much required professional legal services to Japanese companies. Mr Saiki said thatIndiaandJapanhave strong partnership and the trade between the two countries is increasing. Visits of two former Prime Ministers of Japan toIndiasince September 2011 has further strengthened the ties. Today, there are more than 800 small and big Japanese companies inIndia.
