According to Hindu texts and beliefs, worshiping Tulsi in the month of Kartik brings many positive changes, new energy is transmitted in life. Tulsi, the beloved of Lord Narayan, is considered to be a form of Goddess Lakshmi, so it is considered very auspicious to put it in the house.
It is said that where there is a Tulsi plant and it is worshiped and served, the blessings of Lakshmi ji always remain in that house. It is believed in the scriptures that water should not be offered to Tulsi on Sundays, Ekadashi and solar and lunar eclipses, along with this, Tulsi leaves should not be broken on this day.
There is no enjoyment without basil
No worship of Lord Vishnu and Shri Krishna is considered complete without Tulsi Dal. At the same time, Tulsi Dal is very dear to Hanuman ji as well. According to Padma Purana, by worshiping, chanting, meditating, planting and wearing Tulsi in Kaliyuga, it burns all sins and gives heaven and salvation. If Lord Vishnu is worshiped with Tulsi leaves containing Manjari, then infinite reward is obtained.
Where Tulsi is planted, there is the proximity of Lord Shri Krishna and there Brahma and Lakshmi also sit with all the deities. The chanting of source-mantra etc., which is done near Tulsiji, is all that gives infinite number of fruits. Tulsi leaves and Gangajal are never considered stale in worship.
Both these things are not considered stale and impure under any circumstances. It is believed that the eunuchs never enter the houses where Tulsi is worshiped daily. Along with this, the happiness and prosperity of the house remains. It is told in the Puranas that taking Tulsi leaves with Gangajal at the time of death brings peace and heaven to the soul.
