IGNOU organizes Free Computer Literacy Programme


Lucknow , Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in collaboration with UPTEC, Lucknow has organized 05 days Free Computer Literacy Programme at the adopted village – Bindova, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow. The programme was inaugurated on 12.03.2018. Students of Primary and Madhyamik Vidyalaya participated in this programme along with the villagers. Dr. Manorma Singh, Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Lucknow in her inaugural address informed the villagers that this village has been adopted by IGNOU under Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan. She requested the villagers to take maximum benefits from this Computer Literacy Programme. Dr. Kirti Vikram Singh, Assistant Regional Director & Programme Officer, NSS informed in detail about the objective of this literacy programme he said that knowledge of computer has become very essential in present scenario. He highlighted the curriculum to be covered in this programme. Dr. Amit Bajpai, Manager, UPTEC Computers, Lucknow informed the students that in this training programme they will learn about the basics of Windows, MS Office and Internet. Dr. Anamika Sinha, Assistant Regional Director, informed about the computer related courses offered by IGNOU and proposed formal Vote of Thanks. Shri Vijay Kumar, Pradhan and Teachers of Primary & Madhyamik Vidyalaya were present on this occasion.
