Iconic personalities were awarded for Lifetime Achievements

Seven Iconic personalities were awarded by Sardar Ratn& Sardar Patel International awards for Lifetime Achievements in various fields. These awards were presented to different iconic contributors in their respective fields.  The highest rank civilian award of the foundation “Sardar Ratna” was presented to Prof DP Sharma for his benevolent contributions to the welfare of personals with disabilities through Information Technology and education. Prof Sharma has developed job search engine in 2005 to help for persons with disabilities in searching online jobs identified especially based on their physical limitations by government India and industries.

Later this search engine’s search and filtration algorithm was adapted and integrated in the official website of ministry of social justice and empowerment government of India.Despite of physical challenges; Prof Sharma has written 22 IT books, 117 research articles and around 26 keynote speeches across the world in major reputed international conferences in USA, Canada, China, Korea, Ethiopia, India and Malaysia. Despite of physical disability Prof Sharma has a mind of steel and fight with challenges. He says “Yesterday I dare to struggle, today I dare to win”. He is International IT Consultant to ILO (An agency of United Nations) – Geneva. Awards were presented jointly by Mr. Balmiki Prasad Singh, Former Governor, Sikkim State, Dr. VindeshwarPathak, PadmVibhusan, Founder Sulabh International and Foundations Chairman Mr. RamavtarShastri at Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan’s Convention Theatre New Delhi. Award was received jointly by his wife and son on behalf of him. This award is presented every year in the memory of independent India’s first Deputy Prime Minister, Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.Last year this award was presented to 96 years old Indian born American Research Professor at Buffalo University Padma Vibhushan Prof CR Rao (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C._R._Rao), a world renowned statistician having 39 honorary PhD degrees from the world’s top notch universities
