Washington – : According to the United States, its partnership with India holds significant importance, and they are preparing to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 22. In response to a question about PM Modi’s upcoming official visit, America’s Principal Deputy Spokesperson, Vedant Patel, stated that the partnership with India is one of the most crucial relationships for the United States. The US works closely with the Indian government on a range of important priorities, and they are eager to host them later this month to further strengthen their engagement on various issues.

These issues include addressing the climate crisis, fostering an open and accessible technology ecosystem, and upholding an open Indo-Pacific region. Additionally, the US aims to enhance trade and security cooperation with India. Patel mentioned that, similar to their engagement with other countries, the United States regularly communicates directly with governments regarding human rights concerns that align with the interests of the United States.
