Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda today criticized the INLD leader Mr Om Prakash Chautala, who represents Uchana Kalan Assembly segment, for neither undertaking any development of the area when he was in power, nor raising his voice in favour of this area in the Vidhan Sabha when he is its representative. The Chief Minister who was addressing a largely attended public meeting  after inaugurating newly constructed Tehsil Complex and girls hostel in nursing college in Uchana Kalan said that the residents of Uchana had sent Mr. Chautala to the Vidhan Sabha, but their leader never raised his voice for the benefit of the people of assembly constituency  and this= could be seen in assembly record. “Why you elect such people”, questioned Mr. Hooda. The Chief Minister who was accompanied by Union Health Minister Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad, Uttrakhand Chief Minister, Pt. Vijay Bahuguna and AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Birender Singh said that he would not leave any stone unturned for ensuring   all round development of   district Jind. Hooda also laid the foundation stone of Kasturba Gandhi Girls School at village Kheri Safa and nursing college at Uchana. The Tehsil complex has been set up at a cost of Rs.4.25 crore and would be first such sub tehsil level building to have all offices under one roof in the state. Mr. Hooda also announced to set up Community Health Centre at Alewa and Primary Health Centre at Nagura, provided the four acres and two acre land was provided for the same respectively. He also announced to expedite the setting up of 50 bedded hospital at Uchana. While quoting official data, the Chief Minister said that the present state government has worked with full dedication for the residents of Uchana assembly and district Jind. During the tenure of Congress Government,Rs.428.72 crore were spent on development projects in Uchana assembly segment whereas INLD government had spent merely Rs.113.2 crore from year 1999 to 2005. He said that  Rs. 2468.09 crore were spent on development projects in district Jind by the present Government as against merely Rs.539.26 crore spent by INLD during six years of its rule. The Government has spent about five times more  on development of Jind district as compared to the investment made by the previous INLD government for the same purpose. “I want to see the progress and prosperity of the area”, he added. Mr. Hooda said that he and Mr. Birender Singh have deep relations. When Mr. Gulam Nabi Azad became president of All India Youth Congress Committee, he immediately ordered to appoint Mr. Birender Singh as President of Haryana Youth Congress. Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Azad appreciated the facilities available in the villages and towns of the state. He expressed surprise that there  was no “kaccha” house in the villages of the state. He also praised the facilities available in the sub tehsil level towns like Uchana where a tehsil complex was inaugurated today, which would house all offices under one roof. Such type of facilities were not available in district headquarters in other states, he added.  Mr. Azad also praised the contribution of Sir Chhotu Ram and great freedom fighter Ch. Ranbir Singh. When their grandson and son respectively were serving the people, it is a great privilege for the people, he added. He urged the people to elect all the five MLAs of the party from the district in the next assembly elections. He said that the people have both Mr. Hooda and Mr. Birender Singh to serve them and they would not get such leadership again for the development of the state. Uttrakhand Chief Minister Pt. Vijay Bahuguna described Mr. Hooda as a popular Chief Minister. While referring to the recent Ramlila ground rally of Congress Party, he said that the country has witnessed the power of Mr. Hooda in the shape of pink turbans in the rally. He also appreciated the contribution of Haryana’s  people in the development  of Uttrakhand and also invited the farmers and entrepreneurs to Uttrakhand. Mr. Birender Singh said that people should defeat the anti democratic forces and those indulged in casteism  and strengthen the Congress Party. We would unitedly work for the development of the area as the leaders of the opposition were dangerous for the area and people of the state. We would unitedly strengthen the Congress in the area, he added amidst thunderous applause from the people. Himachal Pradesh Cabinet Minister Thakur Kaul Singh and Mr. G.S. Baali, MLA Mr. Naresh Selwal, AICC member Mrs. Prem Lata, former Minister Mr. Bhag  Singh Chhatar, Mr. Ram Bhaj and Mr. Kulbir Singh Malik, OSD Media Mr. K.V.
