Don’t jump queues, don’t eat junk, don’t pluck flowers, don’t gossip, don’t drink carbonated drinks, respect nature, plant trees, respect women, respect teachers, respect your parents and teachers, Sh.Ram Niwas averred this while interacting with the young students of Government High School Sector 40 Chandigarh, on his visit to this school as a part of interactive gupshup session , he holds in various schools from time to time. Kicking on talks on various subjects Secretary Education, educated students to be gently polite and respectful towards fair sex and cordial with the tourists visiting Chandigarh. Home secretary asked the Parents association and teachers present over there to inculcate the civic sense and moral values among the children.

Sh.Ram Niwas encouraged students to be focused in their lives. While narrating the examples of city lads who cleared the civil services exams today, he told them to do hard work and read newspapers everyday. He asked the teachers to regularly monitor the homework of the students .

Secretary also shared with the students his Study tour to Korea. He told them how Koreans are a dedicated and punctual people and have been excelling in all fields of their lives just by being honest and sincere. Besides this, he shared with them various instances from the good practices in foreign countries. HS also apprised the students on civic sense, fundamental rights and duties as well as how to protect the government properties meant for the public usage, protecting environment, protecting historical monuments, spreading brotherhood in the society, loving animals, reading newspapers, watching a News bulletin daily, doing home work regularly, avoiding computer games as it leads to violence and decrease the vision.

HS also emphasized on the ill effects of drugs that how the young children should not only indulge into these habits but also spread message in their peer group to always abstain from such habits. The students enjoyed the interaction and also shared their vision with the Home Secretary to keep the surrounding and environment neat and clean and fresh. The children were also made aware about the intake of nutrition and healthy food and refraining junk and aerated drinks that harm the body.
According to Secretary Education “ As elders its our duty to guide this young generation on a right path, interaction with the students can help them out to speak their mind, in fact parents and peer group should have inter communication so that mindset of students can be given apt direction” . He further added, the very purpose of his visit is to provide the students, teacher and parent association a common platform so that all issues relating to students can be discussed.
