Since the sunrise of the full moon date will be on March 7, Holika Dahan will be done on this day itself. The next day i.e. on March 8, Dhuredi festival will be celebrated, in which people will celebrate happiness by applying color to each other.

This is the auspicious time of Holika Dahan (Holika Dahan 2023 Muhurat)
The condition of Bhadra is definitely considered on Holika Dahan, but this time Bhadra will not be there at the time of Holika Dahan. According to Ujjain’s astrologer Pt. Praveen Dwivedi, this time Bhadra will be from 04:17 in the evening of March 6 to 05:16 in the morning of March 07. Means Bhadra will end on the morning of Holika Dahan. The auspicious time for Holika Dahan will be from 06:24 pm to 08:51 pm i.e. for 02 hours 27 minutes.

Why celebrate Holi?
There are many reasons for celebrating Holi in religious scriptures, but the most prominent of them all is related to the story of Holika and Prahlad. According to him, the king of the demons Hiranyakashyap was an enemy of the gods, but his son Prahlad was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu.
When Prahlad did not give up his devotion to Lord Vishnu even after Hiranyakashipu’s persuasion, he was tortured. Even after this, when Prahlad did not agree, Hiranyakashyap asked his sister Holika to sit in the fire with Prahlad.

Holika had the boon of not being burnt by fire, but when Holika sat in the fire with Prahlad, she got burnt and Prahlad was saved. That is why this festival is being celebrated as the victory of good over evil. PLC/GT
