Hindustan Copper Limited pays final dividend of Rs. 46.07 crore
The Union Minister of Mines Shri Dinsha J. Patel, received the final dividend of the Rs. 46.07 crore for the financial year 2010-11 from Sh. Shakil Ahmed, CMD, Hindustan Copper Limited here today in the presence of Shri S. Vijay Kumar, Secretary (Ministry of Mines), Shri A. K. Srivastava, Additional Secretary (Ministry of Mines). For the financial year 2010-11, the company has declared a total dividend of 20%, including an interim dividend of 10% amounting to Rs. 46.07 crores paid in November 2010. With this the Company has paid Rs 92.14 crore as total dividend to Government of India for the year 2010-11, which is the highest dividend payout by the Company so far. During 2010-11, on the back of 12% improvement in metal production and 28% improvement in LME, Hindustan Copper Limited recorded profit before tax of Rs. 335.21 crore and the company is making all out efforts to increase the capacity in mining from 3 Mt to 12 Mt per annum by taking up expansion of existing mine at Malanjkhand Copper Project, Indian Copper Complex and Khetri Copper Complex etc.
