With many south Indian films being remade in Hindi, the latest in the remake list is the name of Bhumika Chawla’s superhit film Okkadu.
Looking at the film’s popularity the film was already made in Tamil and Kannada and will now be made in Hindi. On hearing the news Bhumika beamed, “Many south films have been remade in Hindi but it will be pleasure to see a Hindi remake of this film.” The Telugu version of the film starred Bhumika alongside eminent actors like Mahesh Babu and Prakash Raj.
The actress started her career with south Indian films and gave fabulous performances in the Hindi cinema as well but her popularity in South remains unperturbed. Bhumika has given many hit films in south and has worked with almost all the south superstars. Though the star cast for this remake is yet to be decided but time will tell if an actress chosen to play the character of Swapna gives as impeccable performance as Bhumika did.
