Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri JP Nadda today demanded resignation of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister after CBI conducted raids on his residence and multiple locations in a disproportionate assets case.
“It is a clear case of corruption. An FIR has been registered against the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister in a disproportionate assets case. It is evident that he misused his position as Union Steel Minister during UPA’s rule and indulged in corruption which has been exposed now in this case. He has no moral right to continue,” said Sh. Nadda.
“The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has in fact become a den of corruption and the common people are suffering. What more you can expect from a government which is led by a tainted Chief Minister,” Sh. Nadda added.
People of Himachal Pradesh are no more ready to bear the burden of the tainted Chief Minister and whose administrative failure has already pushed the state into a big mess. The brazen way in which the Chief Minister has amassed wealth through corrupt means is shocking and it is high time that he should step down, said Sh. Nadda.
Sh. Nadda said, “Congress is putting up lame defense and targeting CBI in a bid to shield the corrupt Chief Minister. The fact of the matter is that the preliminary enquiry was instituted against him in 2013 when UPA was in power at the Centre. The FIR against Himachal Pradesh CM is a culmination of this preliminary enquiry. There are no excuses left for Congress and the tainted Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh,” said Sh. Nadda.
