Ayush Health Mela was organised under NRHM U.T. Chandigarh on the Dec 11, 2010, at Govt. Model Middle School, Village Khuda Jassu, Chandigarh. The Mela was inaugurated by Dr. Chander Mohan, Director, AYUSH cum Mission Director NRHM. along with Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Rana, Nodal Officer, NRHM, AYUSH and Dr. Sangeeta Ajay Kumar, Nodal Officer, NRHM. About 327 patients were examined in the Health Mela which provided services in the stream of Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Unani and Yoga. The patients were examined and given medicines free of cost. To generate awareness regarding the Mela, IEC activities were carried out in the twin villages of Khuda Jassu and Khuda Lohara so that maximum people could avail the benefits of the Mela. These two villages have been adopted by the program of AYUSH under Project Foundation.
