Head constable caught red handed accepting bribe of rs. 10,000
INVC NEWS Chandigarh, The Punjab Vigilance Bureau, in its anti corruption campaign has been successfully caught head constable while accepting bribe of Rs. 10,000. Disclosing this an official spokesman of the Vigilance Bureau said that head constable Ram Sanjeevan posted at police station- Mullanpur, district Mohali nabbed on the complaint of Jang Bahadur s/o Bharat Singh . The complainant has alleged that the head constable was demanding a bribe of Rs. 15,000 for the release of tractor trolley which was impounded under Section 379 and 21(1) of mining Act but the deal was settled for Rs.10,000. The Spokesman said that complainant complained to vigilance Bureau authorities and trap was laid by the team of Vigilance Bureau and accused was arrested in a tea shop near Police Station- Mullanpur, red handed while accepting bribe of Rs.10,000 from the complainant and this amount was recovered from his procession .
