The Prime Minister congratulated the youth of Haryana who brought laurels to the country in the recently concluded Asian Games. The Prime Minister said he was confident that the people of Haryana would elect a BJP led government with full majority. He said he was in Hisar to congratulate the people in advance.
He said those who led the Governments of Haryana had done so only for their families, for the last 25 years. He criticized those who dream of taking oath from jail. He said his Government was running with the support of the 125 crore people of this country. He said he does not need support of those sitting in jails, or of goonda-mafia.
Narendra Modi said BJP is fighting this election in Haryana for good governance.
He said the Congress had not given an account of the work it had done for 60 years, and were seeking an account of sixty days of his Government.
He criticized the Haryana government for a decision favouring the “daamad” – son-in-law, during the election campaign, when the code of conduct was in force. He asked whether the Election Commission would take cognizance of it.
The Prime Minister said the NDA Government had decided to give two railway lines to Hisar in the first railway budget, and had also decided on one National Highway for Hisar.
He said the people in the Haryana Government were playing the game “Kaun Banega Arabpati” – in a reference to Amitabh Bachchan’s popular TV show – “Kaun Banega Crorepati.”
In a reference to India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, he said his 125th birth anniversary on November 14, would be celebrated by generating awareness about cleanliness and hygiene among children. From 14th to 19th November (Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary), there would be a special campaign on cleanliness in schools across the country.
The Prime Minister said, the current age should be one of Hi-fi, Wi-fi and “safai” (cleanliness).
The Prime Minister highlighted the Prime Minister Krishi Sinchai Yojana, which would provide irrigation to the farmers. He said Haryana was the land of Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan – jawans from Haryana defended the country, and kisans from Haryana raised foodgrains for the country.
The Prime Minister said soil health cards would be given to all farmers.
The Prime Minister said One-Rank One Pension for the armed forces was not given by Congress Governments, and was done by the BJP Government at the Centre in the first budget itself.
The Prime Minister highlighted the poor sex ratio of Haryana, saying 9 out of the 15 districts with worst sex ratio in the country were in Haryana. He assured the mothers and sisters of Haryana that a brother was sitting in Delhi, and female foeticide would not be allowed. He said society could not be happy by abusing mothers and daughters. He highlighted the incidents of rape of dalit girls, and said Haryana needed a state government who would act to prevent such incidents.
The Prime Minister said today there was a new respect across the world for India. This was due to the decisive mandate given to the Union Government by 125 crore Indians. He said if the people wanted Haryana to make a name on the world stage, then a stable state government (with full BJP majority), was necessary. He said Japan, USA and China had promised massive investment in India, which would lead to employment opportunities for the youth.
He asked the people of Haryana to give him a chance to serve them.
