HCL Presents Dividend Cheque to Mines Minister

INVC,, Delhi,, A dividend cheque amounting to RS. 46.07 crore on the 99.59% equity held by the Government of India in Hindustan Copper Ltd (HCL), was handed over to the Union Minister of Mines and Development of North Eastern Region, Shri B. K. Handique, by the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of HCL, Shri Shakeel Ahmed here today. The Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Shri S. Vijay Kumar, and, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines Shri G. Srinivas were also present on the occasion. The Board of Directors of HCL, the only Copper mining Company in India, had recommended payment of an interim dividend of 10% amounting to Rs. 46.26 crore on the paid-up capital of Rs. 462.61 crore for the financial year 2010-11.
