Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala directed the concerned officers to provide tools (Tasala-Kassi) to those Rural Safai Karamcharis who have not been given the same by the concerned Gram Panchayats by March 15, 2021. Besides this, a report should also be prepared regarding the Panchayats of the State which have given the tools to the workers and those which have not.

          The Deputy Chief Minister who also holds the portfolio of Development and Panchayats Department and Labour and Employment Department, today met the representatives of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU). On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Department, Sh. Varinder Singh Kundu, Labour Commissioner, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Director General, Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. RC Bidhan and other senior officers were also present.

          Sh. Dushyant Chautala listened to the representatives and discussed their demand in detail. He said that the State Government is constantly striving to improve the standard of living of the people of the state including daily wage workers and the labourers working on minimum monthly honorarium in the state. Haryana is paying higher MGNREGA wages than other states of the country, he added. He said that the workers having Parviar Pehchaan Patra have also been given the benefit of Ayushman Yojana.

          The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officers to form a committee to study and take appropriate action on various demands, including the appointment of Rural Safai Karamcharis on the basis of population, simplification of the conditions for providing loans to workers.

During the meeting the representatives of CITU apprised the Deputy Chief Minister regarding various issues being faced by them. On the demand to increase the allowances given for uniform and shoes, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the concerned officers to constitute a committee in this regards and submit a report.

          On this occasion, General Secretary, Haryana CITU, Sh. Jaibhagwan, Vice President, Sh. Satbir Singh and Sukhbir Singh, Treasurer, Sh. Vinod Kumar, Chief, Bhawan Nirman Kamgar Union, Sh. Deshraj, Deputy Secretary-General, Rural Safai Karmachari Union, Sh. Basu were also present.
