The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today gave credit to all ministers and the member of Parliament for inclusion of Bhiwani and Mahendergarh districts in the National Capital Region (NCR) area. He was addressing a press conference, here today. While a newsman pressed hard for his comment on the issue of credit being taken by Ministers Kiran Choudhry, Rao Narender Singh and Satpal Sangwan, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Rao Dan Singh and Member of Parliament Ms. Shruti Choudhry, for inclusion of the two districts in the NCR, Mr Hooda showed papers to prove the point that ministers, MPs as well as the state government had written letters to the NCRPB for inclusion of Mahendergarh and Bhiwani in the NCR region. Mr Hooda gave credit to all of them for the achievement. The Chief Minister said that he himself had made this proposal at the meeting of the National Capital Region Planning Board and the ministers had also made similar request in writing for inclusion of the districts in the NCR. This would generate new dimensions of development in these districts, he added. Hooda said it had also been decided at the NCRPB meeting that Jind and Karnal districts would also be included in the NCR. Answering a question, Mr Hooda said that a coal block had been allotted to Haryana in Jharkhand in keeping with the state’s requirement. It would ensure adequate supply of coal to the thermal power plants in the state.
