Ingredients needed for the makeup of Maa Parvati
Bangles, honey pudding, kumkum, comb, vermilion, nettle, mehndi, mahour, shell, , things for the makeup of a suhagin. Apart from this, quince, Kalash, Abir, sandalwood, oil and ghee, camphor, curd, sugar, honey, milk and Panchamrit etc.
On the day of Hariyali Teej, after taking bath in the morning, women keep a Nirjala fast by doing sixteen makeups. To worship, women first gather in a temple or open place and decorate the idol of Goddess Parvati with silk clothes and ornaments. After this, making the shape of a hemisphere, the idol of the mother is worshiped by placing it in the middle. Among these women, one woman narrates the story to everyone. After which women pray to Mother Parvati for the long life of her husband. After that, the married women touch the feet of their mother-in-law and give them sweets.
