Harbhajan Maan and its team reached MCM DAV college, Chandigarh and Chanidgarh University for promotion of their upcoming movie Haani. This movie will be releasing on 6 September , 2013. Harbhajan Maan said,” I am returning with this film after an interval of two and half years. The Break was because I am looking for the change .Today Punjabi Cinema is dominated by vulgar comedy with weak storylines. Regional movies may be going towards money but what’s missing, he point out is the essence and flavor of what Punjabis hold dearly: life in villages as we know it.” About Haani – which also stars Sarabjeet Cheema ,Anuj Sachdeva,Sardar Sohi and Sonia Maan, has music by Jaidev Kumar and lyrics by Babu Singh Maan – Maan adds,” I wanted to work with amitoj maan again after mirza. Haani which narrates the story of two generation and two couples – one is based in the Punjab o f 1964 and other in 2013 and the audience will get to see new me in this film. I undertook a rigorous three weeks workshop in Mumbai for fight scenes in the film.” Babu Singh Maan says,” The most challenging character I have played so far.” and co-star Sarabjeet Cheema who played Harbhajan Maan friend’s character named Jageera said,” this movie become new trendsetter in punjabi film industry and working with amitoj maan is excellent experience. The movie marks debut of actress Mahreen Kaleka in this movie, who is student of law at Punjabi university. Mahreen says,” I played the character of sukha in this film and it is wonderful experience of working with legends. Haani team seeking the blessings of almighty at Golden Temple Amritsar during Amritsar ground promotions.its all set to release worldwide on 30 August 2013.
