Gurukul vidyapeeth in colloboration with aerosphere to make unmanned air vechicle for fertilizer spary in agricultural feilds

Gurukul Vidyapeeth Institute of Engineering & Technology is an institute with great social responsibility and the institute awarded with the best institute for excellence in innovation in Punjab .Gurukul Vidyapeeth entered into an Memorandum of Understanding with Aero Sphere for the training of the students of the engineering branches of Aeronautical and Aerospace.  These training sessions will offer a dynamic curriculum at par with the industry to the students. It will also help to develop skills and experience in the practical working and application of technology thus enabling innovation and development of the overall society. These training programmes will be impacted by the senior researchers in the field of Aeronautical and Aerospace engineering The training will follow an development of an project that comprises of Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) to be used for the surveillance purposes by the Police and other investigating agencies and for the spray of the even pesticides in the large agricultural fields.

Dr. R. C Sharma, strategic consultant/domain expert with Aerosphere, Having formerly worked as Head of Multi-Disciplinary DRDO and Regional Director of airworthiness and certification of Military aircrafts. Dr. Sharma has helped in building and implementing a roadmap for aerospace capabilities in the structural design/analysis, aircraft publications for various government and non-government entities.  After completing 38 years of service with Indian Defense Sector he has decided to impart his wisdom to the youngsters. The Indian Aerospace/Engineering sector needs trained manpower and for this industry to make manifold growth.

Dr. Manmohan Kumar Garg, Chairman Gurukul Vidyapeeth said that these type f training will give a new kind of experience to the students and development of projects in the field of Air Vehicles and research activities. He said many projects may be live projects developed by the students which will help in satellite monitoring , traffic surveillance , investigating agencies , metrological department and at many other places Moreover he said development of independent projects by the students will boost the confidence in them and help them o make their career better and country proud of them .

Er.Sandeep Sharma, Lead Trainer Aerosphere and working on the panel of ISRO, DRDO and various other agencies said that training the young and aspiring engineering will be a great experience. He said that sharing of his life experiences during the development of Launch Pad of Agni Missile with the student will boost the students to perform better. He further asserted that development of small live projects of Unmanned Air vehicles (UAV) is the need of the day and will be very useful in agricultural needs, metrological departments, survey and research activities, agricultural activities.
Ms.Abhilasha Negi, Manager Gurukul Vidyapeeth, Er. Baljot Kaur was also present on the occasion and said that this collaboration will be very helpful to the students and applauded this initiative taken by the university and institute.
