Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated that there is no other way to eliminate Hamas other than a ground operation in Rafah. Netanyahu said, I made it clear in my conversation with US President Joe Biden that we are committed to eliminating the remaining Hamas battalions in Rafah.
“We have disagreements with the Americans about the ground operation in Rafah,” Netanyahu told the Foreign and Defense Committee on Tuesday, The Times of Israel reported. The disagreement is not about the need to eliminate Hamas, but about the need to enter Rafah. Let us tell you that America is against Israel’s ground operation in Rafah. America believes that this will further increase the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Rafah is an area at the southernmost end of Gaza, adjacent to the border with Egypt.
